We are delighted to share that Phase 3 of Vermella East Brunswick, our monumental $500 million redevelopment project along Route 18, has been unanimously approved at a special meeting of the Planning Board on Wednesday, December 18th. This significant milestone marks the beginning of a transformative journey for the community.
EB Development Urban Renewal, LLC, the esteemed partnership group led by Russo Development and River Development Equities, is diligently seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval, “bulk” or “c” variance relief, and design waiver relief for this phase of the project at 233 and 245 Route 18. The approval by the planning board will allow us to proceed with the demolition of all existing structures on the property, which will lay the foundation for the construction of 14 multi-family residential buildings containing 218 stacked townhouse units, consisting of a 50/50 split of two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. Additionally, Phase 3 includes 552 total parking spaces, with 436 garage and driveway combination spaces and 116 on-street spaces.
